LIGHT AND SHADOW
I created these images by layering photographs from a variety of different shoots. The base images were layered photographs of people in the early morning light. I layered them by keying photographs by their luminance, which gave a glitchy look to the end result. In the next shoot, I photographed various coloured lights reflecting off an icy surface with a shallow depth of field. This was inspired by the photographer Christiane Zschommler. By putting these photographs above the base photographs, I managed to create much more colourful and interesting images. I also tried layering a few photographs of caustic patterns for more interesting effects.
